Our gas diffusion program will now include leak source detection and trace component diffusion capabilities.

Even if there is a gas smell, there are many cases where it is urgent to pinpoint the source of the leak.
When you have absolutely no idea what happened, you need to perform a leak source search simulation. For example, did the liquid that leaked in the accident evaporate and the gas spread, or did the gas erupt from something like a chimney? And what was the rate of release?

Our newly developed leak source detection function simulates the situation based on gas concentration measurement data from locations where a gas odor is present. A minimum of two gas concentration data points from geographically separated measurement locations are required. Since the error is relatively large with only two data points, four data points are preferable. Furthermore, because it can handle various leak scenarios, accuracy can be further improved by anticipating the leak situation to some extent based on actual conditions.

In addition, we've added a function that can calculate the diffusion of trace gas components in exhaust gas. This function is quite useful; for example, if the exhaust gas from an incinerator contains trace amounts of dioxins, it can also calculate the diffusion of those dioxins.
