On March 3, 2017, a disaster prevention training session was held, organized by the Kawasaki City Waterfront Fire Station Association.
Our President and CEO, Mr. Kato, gave a lecture entitled "Disaster Prevention Planning and Safety at Petrochemical Plants and Refineries," in which he explained the inherent risks such as radiant heat from fires, explosions, leakage of hazardous materials and gas diffusion, and deterioration of fire extinguishing pipes over time, and discussed countermeasures and methods for consideration.
The training session was attended by approximately 200 people, including the head of the Rinko Fire Station and representatives from nearby businesses, and was very well received.
